This week’s episode of Game of Thrones, with the very-interesting title of ‘Eastwatch”, offered the audience some rather shocking reveals and some much-anticipated reunions. However, it seems like we are still left with some questions, even if the episode has revealed so much. There are possible spoilers ahead for those who still haven’t seen Sunday’s episode.
Daenerys Targaryen ordered her dragon to burn both Randyll and Dickon Tarly alive after they refused to bend the knee. She wanted to offer an example and the remaining Lannister soldiers accepted to follow her. However, there is one question left unanswered. As the only surviving heir of House Tarly, Sam is now the owner of Horn Hill. And even if he swore an oath when he became a member of the Night’s Watch, he broke it when he started a relationship with Gilly. This would also make him the owner of Heartsbane, the very powerful Valyrian steel sword he stole from his parents.
Over at Dragonstone, Jon Snow seemed to bond with Drogon. He even touched the dragon and Daenerys was shocked. Could this mean that she noticed this unusual bond, which might suggest that Jon also has Targaryen blood in him? And if this is right, what will Dany do next? Will she try to keep him close as a powerful ally, or will she attempt to get rid of him, because he’s competition?
However, Cersei was to one who delivered the biggest shocker of the night. She revealed that she’s pregnant and that the father is Jamie. Still, considering how manipulative Cersei is, could she be lying just to make sure that Jamie doesn’t betray her? After all, the prophecy states that she will have three children and all of them will die. This already happened. So maybe, her fourth child doesn’t actually exist.
